Energy Independence & Global Warming

As a green builder, Don Wiviott understands that economic success and environmental protection go hand-in-hand. A leader in the green building community, Don Wiviott created an energy-efficient live/work community that is the home to over 100 businesses and residents. He completed a second green building project in 2004.

Don Wiviott believes that it's time to move America toward energy independence. He believes that America needs to commit itself to a major investment in the development of the clean energy technologies of the future. The development of these technologies will create jobs, protect the environment and free us from our dependence on foreign oil.

Don Wiviott knows that energy independence is good for New Mexico.

New Mexico is the home to two of our nation's energy labs. We have plenty of space to generate wind power. And, we have strong geothermal potential. Don Wiviott will not only work to make sure that America commits itself to energy independence with a massive new investment, but, he will also work toward bringing some of that investment – and the jobs that it will create – back to New Mexico.
