Safeguarding Our Civil Liberties

Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither." That's why Don Wiviott believes that the rights enshrined in the American Constitution must be protected at all costs. Neither Congress nor the President should ever be allowed to trample on or abridge our guaranteed freedoms.

George Bush, Dick Cheney and the Republicans in Congress have violated some of our most sacred liberties. Don Wiviott will stand up for our rights and fight those who seek to shred our Constitution every step of the way.

While Don Wiviott supports legal wiretapping that allows law enforcement to protect us from terrorists and other threats, he opposes illegal wiretapping of American citizens because government must not be allowed to spy on our citizens. He opposes granting amnesty to corporations who illegally wiretap our phones.

Don Wiviott believes that all citizens should be viewed equally under the law. He believes that the law must not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, gender, creed or sexual orientation.

Don Wiviott supports net neutrality. He believes in the free flow of information is vital in our society.
