Affordable Prescription Drugs

The Medicare Part D Disaster must be radically reformed. The bill, written by and for the pharmaceutical industry, amounts to nothing more than a multi-billion dollar giveaway to the big drug companies. It must be reformed.

Don Wiviott supports a prescription drug plan that works for New Mexico's seniors. He believes that all seniors should have access to affordable prescription drugs. But, he also believes that it should be done in a fiscally responsible way – not in a way that lines the pockets of the big drug companies. That's why Don Wiviott would allow for the reimportation of cheap prescription drugs from Canada and remove the 'donut hole' coverage gap that has cost so many of our seniors.

In Washington, Don Wiviott would put New Mexicans – not the big pharmaceutical companies – first by making sure that we pass a fiscally responsible prescription drug benefit that provides the prescription drug coverage our seniors need.
