A big reason that there isn't quality, affordable health care for all New Mexicans is because the insurance companies and their well heeled army of lobbyists stand in our way. They use campaign contributions to peddle their influence and stop good legislation that would make sure that hard working New Mexicans can have access to health care.

Washington doesn't need another career politician beholden to lobbyists and special interests for campaign cash. We need more representatives who represent the people that elected them - not the lobbyists who fund their campaigns. That's why I'm standing up to lobbyists and corporate interests by refusing to take their money. I won't be beholden to their influence - I'll represent the people and honor our shared progressive values.
